Collaborative Orchestra - London based 67 piece orchestra with singers, semi finalists at the most recent Britain's Got Talent series , well known to the British public for their brilliant audition for BGT 2016 with excellent rendition of Queen’s iconic son “ Don’t Stop me Now” which received a standing ovation from all four judges (yes - even Simon Cowell!) and has now been viewed by over 20mil viewers in the UK and internationally.
It is a diverse ambitious amateur orchestra rehearsing around London. Although many are music teachers, many have “normal” daytime jobs, and some are students.They are classical orchestra with the difference, performing old legend rock songs through the prism of classical arrangement. On Saturday 22nd October,2016 the Collaborative Orchestra and Singers took to the stage for the first time since their phenomenal run in Britain's Got Talent 2016 at the Coronet Theatre in London
This was the concert with the difference.Collaborative Orchestra were performing old rock legend songs from various international rock artists through the prism of classical music arrangement.
Its an alchemy where classical meets rock.
It was an evening of classical rock music like none other. Pieces included 'Don't Stop Me Now' (Queen); 'Smoke on the Water' (Deep Purple) and lots of other surprises all arranged for full orchestra, rock band and choir!
Mind blowing performance of their own innovative take on classic tracks from legends such as Queen, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Vivaldi and Beethoven (Yes! Vivaldi and Beethoven!).
It was a pure artistry combined into the high-powered energy show with the electrifying sound of their unique fusion of classical orchestra, singers and rock band live on stage – a feast for all the senses!
The Collaborative Orchestra was joined by the London College of Music Pop Choir for one night only for a programme of iconic rock music with a classical twist.
